Humanistic Yorkshire Barn Wedding
When Siobhan and Sam started telling us about their barn wedding we got very, very excited. We met them at the Great Lancashire Wedding Show and we just knew their wedding was going to be absolutely perfect.
Sam’s proposal was so romantic and definitely worth a read.
Their wedding was taking place in Barmby fields barn in Barmby Moor, York.
Siobhan got ready at the Chocolate Box Cottage where she’d spent a couple of nights relaxing with her family and friends, and soaking in the hot-tub!
She travelled to Barmby fields barn in a lovely bay campervan which a friend owned. The campervan behaved itself all the way to the venue but decided to have a ‘rest’ once it was there and needed a little help from another car.
Sam and Siobhan have their own wedding business, Pop Up Vintage which offers everything you need for a vintage tea party and they also offer vintage inspired accessories such as tins, suitcases and trunks.
Sam and Siobhan had an afternoon tea for their wedding with a beautiful cheese cake and pork pie too and served them on all their vintage crockery.
They hired Cranston’s Fine Ales to serve everyone their drinks from their mobile bar – genius! And Alex Hulme entertained everyone with his amazing voice. I can highly recommend both of these suppliers.
They chose to have an humanistic ceremony and this was the first time we’d attended an humanistic wedding. It was simply wonderful and focused very heavily on their love that they have for each other. A reading by the grand parents certainly brought a tear to our eyes.
I could go on all day about this wedding but for now I’ll just let the pictures tell the stories.
