We met Esther and Crispin ages ago at the first ever Great Lancashire Wedding Show. I think we got a tad over excited when we heard of Esther’s love of the Brownies and the Guides and how they’re going for a DIY wedding based on this theme. We do love couples who celebrate their wedding in the style that they love. Check out the gorgeous purple blanket.
They had travelled up all the way from Leek just for the wedding show, I know Maxine from Little White Books will be impressed.
Esther suggested they have their engagement shoot at Trentham Gardens. This is a little bit further than we would normally travel but we thought we would make a day of it and bring the children too. And seeing as Esther is a teaching assistant the kids instantly warmed to her.
So, off I travelled with the children, whilst Archie worked his magic and had a lovely walk around Trentham Gardens with Esther and Crispin.
We met up for lunch to find out more about their wedding plans.
Afterwards we went our separate ways and made the most of this most beautiful place. We can honestly recommend it to anyone thinking of spending a day relaxing in beautiful gardens. The kids absolutely adored the barefoot walk, whilst many adults may disagree! It’s definitely not one to be missed.
We also went fairy spotting, explored the sound gardens and took a trip on the catamaran.
They have free deck-chairs and open air concerts.
I know this blog post really should be focused on Esther and Crispin, but they have shared with us a most wonderful place and one that we will definitely visit again.
This is the beauty of engagement shoots. We get to chat to our couples in a very relaxed manner and visit new places.
Enjoy the images.
