Snow Day

Making the most of a snow day

Anthony and Kate booked their engagement shoot a couple of weeks ago and as the day drew closer we checked the weather. Sunshine. Perfect. No wind or rain, simply perfect for an outdoors engagement shoot.

So when it started to snow on the Saturday we started to panic! But luckily, Anthony and Kate decided to go ahead with the shoot as planned and we had a fantastic snow day. This was the first time their little boy had seen snow and they all had a fantastic time.

We also found out how relaxed Anthony and Kate are. Their original wedding venue, the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere, had to cancel their wedding due to the recent floods so with very little time remaining before their wedding they rebooked their venue and are now getting married at Mottram Hall in Cheshire. And were they stressed? Absolutely not. Such a positive attitude.

The engagement shoot was quite different to most engagement shoots simply because of the snow. They spent a lot of time building snowmen, having snowball fights (check out what an amazing shot Kate is!) and making snowfalls from the trees. It was such a lovely day for it.

The miniature train was also running which made their little boy’s day especially as he’s an huge fan of Thomas the Tank Engine.
