Ooh, you’ve got to love a groom in uniform.
Carrie and Chris’s wedding day has finally arrived. It seems like ages ago since we first met Carrie at a wedding show and she told us all about her wedding and their guests who were travelling from all over the world to celebrate with them.
We’ve been in touch during the run up to the wedding and we were probably just as excited about it when it finally arrived.
The bridal preps were so relaxed and Carrie and her 4 bridesmaids were so funny, even having time for a breakfast celebration.
The day featured lots and lots of smiles, giggles and surprises when Carrie’s Mum, Dad and Sister returned from New Zealand and caught up with friends they hadn’t seen in years. The day also featured lots of tears (yes, us included) especially when Carrie’s Dad saw her for the first time and when Carrie’s sister, Jessica, made a very emotional and heartfelt speech during the ceremony. There literally wasn’t a dry eye in the room at this point.
Carrie looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and Chris and his bestman looked fabulous in their Navy suits, especially as it had taken Chris 2 hours to polish his shoes! And yes, you really could see your face in them!
The weather didn’t play ball as they had hoped to have some garden games on the lawn, but the rain decided to make an appearance for most of the day. However we did manage to get some outdoor shots when there was a dry spell and the confetti image was seized as soon as the rain stopped.
This wedding probably featured some of our favourite suppliers too – Liz Hendry, the sensational pianist, Darwen Deli, our go to cake makers and the amazing venue of Mitton Hall where Michael is the best wedding organiser.
Congratulations Carrie and Chris. Enjoy your honeymoon.
