Last August we had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kirsty and Dom’s wedding at the Great Hall at Mains, just outside of Blackpool.
The Great Hall at Mains is such a beautiful venue and completely hidden away. The grounds are amazing. Gorgeous green trees, beautiful lawns and accommodation with ultra modern and old, traditional features.
Dom proposed to Kirsty at Disneyworld. Throughout the wedding there are subtle hints of Kirsty’s love of all things Disney. We particularly love her shoes, best ever!
The whole wedding was simply perfect. The weather was glorious. Family and friends were the happiest ever and the venue looked completely stunning. It was also great to catch up with our mate Mark Hendry from Live Piano Experience and to work with Roland from RTP Films.
Dom’s dad held a fantastic round of Mr & Mrs using the bride and groom’s shoes. Check out Roland’s film from the above link for how this was done. It was so entertaining and a great way to finish off the speeches.
After the speeches everyone was ready for a great party. It certainly went with a bang when the 2 bestmen showered confetti canons all over the dance floor. Kirsty and Dom had chosen to book our stay late package and we were so glad they did when we saw how this lot partied! And to finish a great wedding they all had burgers and cigars, with a parade of sparklers too.
Moments that stole the day
Definitely the confetti cannon. Quite nerve wrecking as we only had one go to get the shot but we were pretty glad with the end result.
The rather hilarious sparkler attempts between various members of the wedding party!
The amount of love between the families.
